CHECKING ID BADGES

IT IS UP TO ALL MEMBERS TO HELP CHECK FOR ID'S OF ANY VISITOR YOU DO NOT KNOW PERSONALLY!! IF THEY SAY THEY THEY ARE MEMBERS BUT LEFT THEIR ID AT HOME - THEY SHOULD BE ASKED TO LEAVE UNTIL THEY HAVE THEIR ID BADGE WITH THEM AND GET THEIR LICENSE NUMBER.

We really need to help with this. Any guest must be with a member who is on the range. Some members are evidently giving out the gate lock code to their friends. This is not acceptable and anyone without a badge or is not with a member should not be on the range. Anyone who is not a member is trespassing. Please give the license info to Howard Dietz at Dietz's Gun Shop and Shooting Range. If someone will not leave call the Comal County Sheriff.

It has come to our attention that some people are driving down and around the gate and entering the range also. When you find someone without an ID badge be sure to ask questions about how they got in and if possible get their name, drivers license number and vehicle license number.

The exceptions to this are, of course, on match days they do not have to be a member if they are shooting in the match that day.

MT BUBBA

Mount Bubba ( the F Class shouting points - raised shooting area to the left of silhouette shooting area) is nearing completion with shade and level shooting area to shoot prone. It is designed to shoot only at 375 meters and 500 meters ONLY!

Anyone may use it for testing or practice but CLEAN UP YOUR BRASS! Please do not leave any brass laying around when you are finished shooting. YOUR MOTHER DOESN'T WORK HERE!! Be considerate of other shooters and clean up after yourself. including trash, boxes, brass and anything else you carry up there. Leave it clean for the next guy.

50 BMG IS BANNED FROM SHOOTING AT OUR RANGE!!

Recent activity at the range by some individuals shooting a 50 BMG has been noted. Please stop them and get the names of the individuals and forward to the webmaster or the club president. If they do not comply, please call the Comal County Sheriff's office for assistance.

This caliber completely destroys the berms and will have to be fixed. PLEASE HELP US TO MONITOR THIS KIND OF ACTIVITY.

NEW PISTOL SILHOUETTE VIDEO CLIPS & TARGET TEMPLATES ARE AVAILABLE NOW.

There is a new IHMSA video CD that includes video introductory clips about various phases of shooting silhouettes with pistols. It is good information for anyone that might be interested in learning about our sport. There is also some target templates that anyone could use for making their own targets etc. We have made these available here on the website.
